Brian Layng became the first athlete for the Elizabethtown College men's track and field team to compete in the decathlon since 2008 at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Layng competed in the first five events of the decath on Thursday at Ohio Wesleyan University. He sits in 17th heading into Friday with 3,323 points.
